I switched from kde to gnome desktop. I set the multiple desktops to 6 and applied, but where are they? in kde they show up on the task bar in gnome I cannot find them.
they should be on the bottom panel on the right side. if you dont see it, right click the panel -> Add to panel and select Desktop Switcher I think is what it's called and hit ok.

I believe the applet is called Workspace Switcher.
