WG111T wireless usb causing problems
Ubuntu seems to have an irrational hatred of my WG111T netgear wireless usb card.
It took hours to get the thing working and when I finally did, I was over the moon. However- now I have about 5 minutes using the card before the system freezes up completely. I then have to reboot only to get another 5 minutes of wifi access before the next crash.
If I don't have the device plugged in at startup, everything runs smoothly indefinitely (except of course, that I have no internet access), however once I plug it in again things start to go wrong after about a minute. Programs stop being able to open. They look as if they are going to load but then just... don't. Programs that do open (it's rare but it happens) are unable to close without a force quit.
It's driving me mad. I'd rather not shell out for a new card (student budget), but I'm getting tired of all these mammoth hurdles just to get one piece of hardware working. Any help would be massively appreciated, any more details just ask.
