virtual hosts

using apache2 how may I have more than one website. I'm not planning on sharing, mainly for learning purposes.

for the virtual host section "namevirtualhost" I changed from "*" to "*:88" to put it on a different port. then when I try

localhost:88

it doesn't work?

[I don't know what I'm doing by the way]
Edit: I preffer to do something like
mat.localhost
instead of having a portnumber if possible thanks

Thanks

I assume you still need a Listen directive (ie Listen *:88 or similar)
