Question Video Codecs too bright


When ever I play a dvd or video on ubunt (I installed codecs) the video looks overexposed no matter what format pls tell me how too fix.

This sort of thing often depends on your video card.

You need to say how you are playing the video - what format and so on.
In totem, you can adjust the video settings from edit > preferences > video (like fo everything - the dit menue has a preferences option. Always look there first.)
