Verifying Updates have installed

I'm running ver 7.04 of Ubuntu with Gnome GUI. I'm told there are twenty two updates available after I run Ubuntu for the first time, and yet, when I click install updates, it flashes, and does nothing. Is there any apparent reason for this?

Try running 'apt-get upgrade' from a console.

Cool, got it running, thanks!

PS - Anyone have an easy to follow guide for the getting the Wine/World of Warcraft Crossover to work?

In Ubuntu, 'sudo' is the recommended manner for performing administrative tasks.
