usbdisk Ubuntu 10.10 trying to mount /dev/sr0

At work we occassionly have to use a usb memory stick which is running Ubuntu 10.10 live to boot a utility that we need for work. When the Ubuntu loads up it hangs for a while and when I hit the escape key I can see that it keeps trying to load /dev/sr0. I looked to see if it was mounting it in fstab but I cant seem to find it. Here is the message:

PHP Code:

/initline 7can't open /dev/sr0: No medium found

any suggestions

This device is a CDROM or DVDROM. Has the USB stick you're using a read only partition at the start of it? SanDisk Cruzer memory sticks for instance have a U3 launcher partition which mounts under Windows but can be a problem under Linux in that the main data partition can be obscured.

Play Bonny!
