Usb Bluetooth adapter always disabled after reboot (karmic)

I have just updated to karmic and whenever i reboot i have to re-enable (turn on) my bluetooth adapter in order for it to work. This wouldn't be much of a problem except for the fact that i use a bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
Does anyone have any solution for this?
Is there a way i could enable bluetooth from command line?

Forgot to mention that the "bluetooth service" (/etc/init.d/bluetooth) is enabled at boot time.

I switched from the bluetooth manager that comes with Karmic to Blueman. It is superior in many ways.

I don't have that problem. I did mark my adapter as always visible. For Local Settings Transfer I have all the check boxes checked.

I have done all that, i have all checkboxes "checked". Perhaps blueman is conflicting with gnome bluetooth.
The problems occured when updating from ubuntu 8.10. I guess something went wrong. And it's really upsetting. I would expect these kind of problems in windows. But not linux.
I guess i'll have to re install everything tonight.

The original Bluetooth Manager will still run if you don't change:

System-> Preferences-> Startup Applications

I re-installed everything yesterday. It was easier than trying to locate this completly illogical error. I guess upgrading doesn't always work as it should.
