upgrading from 5.xx to 6.xx beta?
Is it possible to download the image , and install by not burning to cd (kind of like daemon tools in windows)? I'm on the road, and dont have spare cds on me. If so, what is the procedure to do this?

To dist-upgrade, you should get first the right repos. You could go here and get a sources.list for dapper. Then sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade should do the trick. But I have no idea if this would work without any problems, since dapper is still beta.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that, but somehow I was thinking he was using dapper flight 5 and wanted to upgrade to flight 6... Sorry. Follow Ptrs!OP's advice on changing the sources.list.

No need to mess with the souces.list file - this does it automatically. I've done it.
First, ctrl+alt, F2,
Second, type in gksudo "update-manager -D"
Relax for a while as your system comes up to Dapper. Repositories and video drivers, et al, are taken care of. Just like magic.

That's what I used to upgrade, I just forgot the command. I think it's on the Dapper Beta page.
