Upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04, display is 45 degrees diagonal and cut in two

OK, that one is WEIRD.
After upgrade with HP G72 laptop, the screen display is tilted 45 degrees. The unity bar starts from the upper left corner, and goes 45 degrees to the right-bottom.
The display itself is cut in two, completing a fully 45 degree tilted screen.
What the %$^%& ???
Looks like someone stretched the bottom of the screen, taking the bottom left corner to the middle of the bottom of the screen. I wish I could prt sc, but the image is "normal", in the computer's twisted world...
Anyone has any clue? google led me nowhere on that.
Thanks!
Ranny

It sounds like your display is set to an incorrect resolution. Try the ideas listed here (if you can read them):
