Question Upgraded to 10.04 x64 - Now my video files have a green/blue tint

Intel Quad Core 6700 rig running 64 bit Lucid Lynx. I had been running 64 bit 8.04 until an upgrade about 2 weeks ago.

I've had no problems in the past when playing the video files on my machine, with any distro of ubuntu, slackware, or windows. I tried using movie player and I tried vlc, but my videos would play with a blue/green tint. It wasn't until about 15 mins ago when I installed MPlayer, which also had the exact same tint to the videos when I started, that I found out a fix.

If I change the hue of the video in "View -> Video Picture Adjustments" the tint issue went away immediately if I clicked in either direction on the slider. This is merely an annoyance, but has anyone encountered this before?

I forgot to mention that this is the same with any video file -- .wmv, .avi, etc

After testing MPlayer more, it appears that as long as I change the hue in one video file, the tint problem does not reoccur as long as I always right click and open every video file that I want to play in MPlayer. Seems simple enough...but if I forget and just double click to open the file, movie player opens the file and the tint problem begins again.
