How can i do that is there other way around here?
Thank you for helping me out.
Hi squirmph, Ubuntu 8.04 is the "long term support" release and it contains a very stable and well-tested version of Firefox. ubuntu-mozilla-daily is a totally unsupported and unstable 3rd party software source containing the daily development testing build of Firefox. Are you sure you want to do this? Do you have the technical skills to troubleshoot any issues that might arise from using an unstable web browser?
well I have old Firefox version and i have seeing branch result of new Firefox 3.5, but i do know the version I have is slow and is giving me problems browsing youtube.
To upgrade Firefox via the repos, you first have to upgrade Ubuntu. Maybe to the Lucid Lynx, considering it is the only version of Ubuntu that has or supports Firefox 3.6. Karmic supports 3.5 (and has 3.5), but is very buggy. My suggestion: Wait until Beta 1 of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (aka Lucid Lynx), add the Lucid repos manually, and then upgrade.
