Upgrade error: can't find DistUpgradeViewGtk

I am trying to upgrade from Kubuntu 6.06 to 6.10 with the Alternate CD. I put the CD in and run the command:
Code:
gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"
And the result is:
Code:
tparks@delld600:~$ gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168

can't find DistUpgradeViewGtk
tparks@delld600:~$
I serched for the error "can't find DistUpgradeViewGtk" and found that I might need to install the package 'python-vte' so I installed that but it made no difference, I still get the error. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Todd

I found that I had to install the package:
update-manager
which I did and at that point all went fine and I now have 6.10 up and running. I would think that running:
Code:
gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade"
Would check to see if 'update-manager' was installed (or any other dependancy for that matter). Other then that the upgrade went very well and the process is a tribute to the Ubuntu folks.

Thanks,
Todd
