Updating Dependencies

Hi Folks,

Wish to update a dependency. It is libatk1.0-6

I am trying to install a program, called Nvu, or at least upgrade the one I already have. Plus a few others.

Error meessage is:

error = dependency is not satisfiable: linatk1.0-6

message originates from gDebi package installer.
I have tried several ways to do this, but no success.

What is the best way?

If you are running Ubuntu, you should be able to install it with:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvu

Apt will take care of dependencies automatically. Make sure to add extra repositories as described here: http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_E...a_repositories

Hi,

I did the sudo apt-get update, it worked well, so I am assuming that it will update the libraries that are already installed.
