Updates for Ubuntu

Hello All,

Kinda of a dumb question...but here goes:

On fedora you can update it by typing:

yum -y update

Does Ubuntu have a similar tool like yum? What package manager does it use? Any help would be great! Thanks!

ubuntu is debian-based, so it uses 'apt-get' at the command line. the GUI frontend is 'Synaptic' and should be in one of the system menus.

No, Ubuntu doesn't have a similar tool...

Ubuntu has a tool that is 100x better..
