Unhappy update to enlightenment broke it, on ubuntu 7.04

I just updated enlightenment, and so I log in to e and the on the top bar, everything is gone, if I right-click, left click, middle click, there is nothing, so I ran sudo aptitude remove e17 and then sudo apt-get install e17 and it did nothing, then I ran sudo aptitude remove enlightment, it then had to reslove a bunch of dependcies. Then I did sudo apt-get install enlightment and it was still the same way as it was before, so I have no idea on how to fix it, hopefully someone here will know
