Update notifier doesn't work anymore
 

Hi,

I'm working with Kubuntu 9.04 and since last week, when I click the update-notifier in the panel, I don't get the window anymore to download the latest updates (tough, when moving with mouse upon the symbol, i can see that there are X updates available). I know I can install updates via a packet manager, but I don't dare because there are also some blocked updates for me, which I think I will download with those package managers and don't want this.

So, how can I make this updatenotifier again please?

Open a terminal and type: update-manager. Post the output here to this thread.

Actually, since he's using Kubuntu, open a terminal and type in kpackagekit and select software updates. Mine crashed the first time and worked the second time.
