Question undo easy ubuntu changes


I would like to uninstall the easy ubuntu ATI 3D acceleration drivers and revert to my old ones. Does anyone know how to do this?

You need to remove the drivers.

So if it's anything like the remiveal of the nvidia drivers then

sudo apt-get remove "whatever the ATI driver package is"

Then you need probably need to edit your X config.

Here is a guide to install many idfferent packages including the ATI drivers. It might be able to help you.

Ok I need to do sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg. When I get to the moniter auto detechion it resets and sends me to the login menu. What should I do?

I hav enever had to install or unistall ATI drivers. Maybe a search at the following site can help you.

Well xorg gave me a warning that led me to the xorg.confg file backup easy ubuntu made. I replaced the new one with the backup and nothing has changed. Also I got through xorg and nothing changed.
