unable to surf the net when firestarter in use.

hi ppl,

when im using firestarter im unable to surf the neti need to disable it or better still remove so in that way im able to surf the net. Any ideas why this is happening or could someone recommend a firewall other than firestarter so that i can configure to allow bittorrents to be used?

thnx.

Are you sure you have not set the outbound traffic to block by defautl.

Have you made sure that you did not block any DNS requests. Also, Firestarter has a bittorrent setting built right in.

I had a similar problem using debian and guarddog.

There was an enable/disable list with checkboxes, I had to make sure it'd enable DNS.

One solution might be to try guarddog, and disable firestarter.

ok now, is my apt repo not configured properly? or what?
