unable to install php5 using apt


hi all,
I have a ubuntu 10.10 system. I wish to install php5.3 on it.
I tried out the following command ( with the output) :-

web-server@web1:~$ sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package php5 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

E: Package 'php5' has no installation candidate

I have done the apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
So what could be wrong. plz help me out
BTW my repo list is as under :-

What's in your /etc/apt/sources.list? It appears to be available according to this.

It appears like PHP 5.3 repos missing in APT utility. You can fix this using the steps provided in,
