Hi all,

Came with a strange issue,

Resently i installed ubuntu 12.04 desktop @ my workplace & trying to install packages like

apache2, vlc, devcot, wvdial, any many more etc...

iam getting following error.

Quote:
Err http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main libapr1 i386 1.4.6-1
403 Forbidden
Quote:
Failed to fetch http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/...4.6-1_i386.deb 403 Forbidden

Note: I am running this box behind squid proxy, therefore

i have added following lines to /etc/apt/apt.conf

Quote:
Acquire::http::Proxy "http://192.168.100.2:3128/";
Acquire::ftp::Proxy "ftp://192.168.100.2:3128/";
Acquire::https::Proxy "https://192.168.100.2:3128/";
I was able to install packages 2 month back but now its totally not responding

Any helping hand please...

Thumbs up

well we solved it.

It was our squid proxy where we created ACL for match keyword in URL rejection for pool (actually to block online game pool)
