Ubuntu Status Bar
 

Is there such a thing as an Ubuntu status bar? I like the KDE status bar that groups multiple instances of one application, like a terminal emulator.

The Ubuntu forums have a post on taskbar grouping, it's as simple as right clicking the bar and selecting whether to always group or group when full.
