Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

It's there, it's just the gui isn't. Have you installed gnome or kde ? Does startx work ? Have you installed gdm or kdm or xdm ? Is this an intel based mac ?
