ubuntu + nvidia

Hello,

I have installed Ubuntu 6.06.

Everything seems Ok.
I have the GUI.

My motherboard is Asus-A7N-266.
Do I need to install any extra
nvidia driver ?

If yes what is the command ?

Thanks

Varun

If you want Nvidia 3D acceleration, you need to get the nvidia driver.

If you just want working NVIDIA 2D graphics, the nv driver in the kernel will take care of it.

I have instructions Here for installing Nvidia drivers on Ubuntu.

I am not sure if they will work with integrated graphics though. Look at the links on the above page for more info about supported cards, and also the Nvidia website.

I hope this helps
