Ubuntu not visible on Windows Network

I can access the Windows Network fine from my Ubuntu box, even copy files, etc.
But it's not visible from a Windows box.
I have my settings (Ip addresses, DNS, etc.) in System>Administration>Networking setup the same way it's on the the Windows PC's on the network, but no go.
I'm kinda new with Samba and stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your firewall blocking the connection? I believe that samba is located on ports 138 and 139 but you might want to research that.

I don't think we have a firewall, unless ubuntu has one built in...

this is a very obvious question, but did u check the Workgroups to make sure they were the same? or if not the same, you have to navigate to it through 'explore' on XP

It's is set to the right workgroup which is in fact called "WORKGROUP". I can explorer in XP and still not see it, nor with backspace ot anything.
