Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Why is so many Ubuntu distributions? Why is there Kubuntu? Dor me will be better that user has a choice which Desktop prefer to install. How is in new version (Badger)?
you can however put kde onto ubuntu
and gnome onto kubuntu after install.
its just the way the distros are packaged.
sometimes you get KDE as the default to install sometimes its gnome. sometimes you aren't given an option and sometimes your not even given a window manager...
As pats said, you do get a choice. If you don't like making the choice before you install the OS, then don't use Ubuntu/Kubuntu. Or you can install the other desktop through Synaptic.

What is different between ubuntu-kubuntu. Just a Desktop or something more? I heard that if you install KDE on Ubuntu later that you have a lot of problems...

It's just a desktop and a few other packages.

You heard wrong. I installed KDE on Ubuntu, and it was fine. In fact, according to Kubuntu's website:
Kubuntu is the first Ubuntu derived distribution. Our Kubuntu CDs are made up of Ubuntu's base plus KDE. You can get exactly the same effect by installing Ubuntu and adding the KDE packages (and removing the Gnome packages) from the Ubuntu archives.
badger isnt out yet its still in beta and to upgrade from ubuntu to badger is not working for me i tried it 3 times and it didnt work. oh and most ppl know it as breezy like hoary headgehog is know as hoary and warty the same way.
