Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode
I was updating my systems after downloading files , sys was going to install those but my power failed , since my lap battery is very weak it stopped installing those
When i open the system after having enough power i got this strange error Ubuntu will show the progress bar of loading but this error box pops up cant do anything Err: Ubuntu is running in low graphics mode The following error was encountered , You my need to update your configuration to solve this (EE) GARTInint :Unable to open /dev/agpart (No file or directory ) (EE) [drm] drmOpen failed (EE) intel (0):[dri] DRIScreenInit failed . Disabling DRI (EE) intel (0): Failed to allocate framebuffer . Is your Video RAM set too low? (EE) intel (0) : Couldnt allocate video memory This is what it shows , i cant even loggin to my Ubuntu , now using stink Windows , plz help me what to do , facing for the first time this type of strange error |
im not saying this is for sure your problem, so dont panic. ok? i seem to remember (when i was in middleschool, i think) we had a similar problem with a power surge and it screwed up our computer. we had to replace it.
anyway, what you might try is to open up your case, assuming you arent on a laptop, or one of those sealed up compaq things, anyway and test your connections with things like video/graphics. it may also be that the surge managed to reset your display driver, this is unlikely but stranger things have happened. there is a reason they tell you not to turn stuff off while saving/updating i might also be totally wrong. ive never really seen anything like this, beyond the thing i mentioned above, but that was a *huge* thing. i mean it melted the surge protector, and burned the carpet. im not kidding |
Try rebooting into Recovery mode, and select xfix, then restart.
