Mmmm - doesn't look any closer to release than the Alpha.
Intel 3945 support is *still* broken. This has been reported for weeks. They cannot even think of releasing Hardy if they can't get this working - a lot of kit is now coming out with this chip. Intel is doing its bit to help the Open Source community - the Ubuntu devs need to step up and get this working.
Nvidia recognition during install would be an improvement too.

Can't say it (Hardy) does anything for me.

I've been using the beta since Friday. I really like it. I have it on an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop. All my hardware finally works correctly, which is a first for any Linux distro. The Suspend bug is fixed for me, the cd burner works, and sound and screen resolution both worked right away. Usually, I had to mess with stuff to get sound and resolution, and never got the burner or suspend issue fixed on my own. Basically, for me, Hardy will be really, really nice.

My only problems have been with Firefox 3.0b4. It still needs work. I'm hoping it will all be fixed soon.

Just upgraded to Hardy Beta from Gutsy two days ago on my Sony VAIO desktop. It looks very good indeed so far although problems I'm having with HP Scanjet 5300 and SANE still persist and this was one of the reasons I upgraded before the stable version was released. In addition, I can no longer compile and install the files I need to use my Pinnacle HDTV Pro Stick USB-based TV tuner with Kaffeine... Have posted requests for help in the appropriate forums.

I don't think FF3 will be officially supported. The Mozilla team have just announced that FF3 will remain in beta until June - while the official release of Hardy is only a few weeks away.

I have Hardy installed on a Toshiba A210 Equium for about three days now. It's got some bugs, but overall it's working fine me. I could not get sound to work on any other distro (LiveCD) but hardy picked it up right away. This laptop came with Vista installed and I changed the hard drive out and installed Hardy. The simple volume control wheel in the front of the laptop would not work in Vista, but WORKS IN HARDY!

There updates almost daily and I believe it will be ready for stable release scheduled for the 24th of April.

I installed it on an inspiron b120 sat night and haven't had any problems at all with it.
