Hi everyone I am using Ubuntu 4.10 and I seem to have a problem with the gnome-cd, it seems to freeze when I put a CD in the drive. I have it set for it not to start when a CD is inserted but it doesn't seem to change anything the player still starts. After when the player starts it just a blank box nothing happens music doesn't play and I have to force a quit. Its not the CDROM because I ripped the CD with SoundJuicer successfully. Has anyone had this type of problem? I seem to have rare hardware because the stuff that happens to me doesn't seem to happen to anyone else.... And my mouse pointer seems to turn black after changing the screen saver, this has something to do with X because it only happens when I put it over GL screensavers. I posted some issues before and I have worked some of them out, my iPod works now, and the hw_random errors have disappeared after blacklisting them, they are not fatal, same as the pnp bios issue.
