Talking Ubuntu Edgy, I installed KDE... will there be a problem if i remove it?

Hi,
I have ubuntu edgy, I recently installed KDE (Kubuntu) for it, if I run
Quote:
sudo aptitude remove kubuntu-desktop
will that remove KDE?, I like Kubuntu but prefer gnome and would like to stick directly to it. If i run that what exactly will it remove, and will it cause problems with my Gnome (Ubuntu) desktop?, Any knowledge and enlightenment on this matter is appreciated.

EDIT- Plus, there are several "things" that the KDE installation has changed, will these be reverted (undone) without issues?,etc.
++ Some things i like like Amarok and KsysGuard are there equivelants, or can i install them on Ubuntu w/Gnome? - note: i still wan't to uninstall KDE even if i can't keep these.

You don't have to uninstall it. When you boot your computer, where you login, look to the left and click on the little icon of the drop-down menu and select Gnome. Then if you want, uninstall KDE from Gnome.

I uninstalled KDE from Gnome, but now there are several problems,
-When system loads it still says Kubuntu not Ubuntu, on shutdown it says Ubuntu.
-Filesystem only displays two folders, media and home.
-CUPS not working (don't know if this is a factor)

Help resolving these issues is greatly appreciated.
