hi all,

i have installed apache2 + mysql + php5 and when i try to open say index.php on the web server it tries to download the file instead of diplaying it.If you go to http://localhost/ you get the default apache web server page which tells me it's working.

Do you have mod_php installed?
This site has some instructions for configuring apache to properly handle php files; http://dan.drydog.com/apache2php.html skip to step 11
