Ubuntu Beryl And ATI X1400


Im having problems installing Beryl on my laptop, its a dell inspiron 6400 with 2GB RAm and an ati video card x1400.

Beryl installs fine an so does Xgl, problem is when i try to run beryl the screen goes blank or all fuzzy and blurry, but it runs compiz fine

My video card is running on fglrx driver fine... can someone help me or point me to a right direction?

I also have an Inspiron 6400 with X1400, and I have the exact same problem. If you find the solution please post it.

Hasn't anyone got any ideas?
