yes, hm. It was to complicated situation. I have ibm r50e and new versions of ubuntu have some issues with drivers for hard drive that is inside and gui is keep blocking when i try to run it. In the end i've installed debian lenny on it and it works perfectly fine. It may be problem how distribution handles the kernel

That was smarter than sticking w/ Hoary, but I probably woulda just went with a current, stable Etch, but I've not heard of issues w/ using the Debian "testing" in a while... Its been in testing, for what seems like forever. At least with Lenny, you'll be able to access current repositories to install software, etc.
