Ubuntu-18-lts:problem with mate-tweaks when encrypted drive?
Hallo All,
I've been trying out Ubuntu 18 lts( first time).
I installed on one laptop with mate desktop and played around with mate-tweak tool and other setting a bit.
I then installed on another laptop ( and reinstalled ) with encryption.
On that laptop I couldn't switch themes in mate-tweak tool any more.
I guess I have to test this further ( could be other setting I changed ) but I am just wondering if this is a known issue?
Although is could be a Ubiquity bug due to it was an installation problem; I was not directly referring to the Ubiquity bug.
To help understand this problem more better, is it possible to give the results to the following code concerning "System Information" on both machines:
Code:
Code:
$ sudo dmidecode | grep -A 9

Reason: adding coding spelling
I tried to test this further today.
I installed Ubuntu-Mate with encryption on our main laptop:

dmidecode | grep -A 9 gives EM, full
output of dmidecode is below.
The only way I can switch Mate Theme is by logging in from another machine with -X
Then run mate-tweak
choose another theme
run pkill -KILL -u user
Then the theme is changed.
On top of that, the console doesn't work on this laptop.
auto-comletion doesn't work, going back to previous command with arrow-up doesn't work.
Greetings, J
