hai friends..i am using ubuntu 12.04.3 for my project work..when i reboot i got this message displayed on my screen could not write byte.broken pipe..please anyone tell me how to solve this..without data loss..still cant open ubuntu 12.04.3

I don't know a solution, but unless you encrypted your home directory, you can boot to a live CD, open Nautilus, mount your Ubuntu home partition by clicking on it in the left pane, and copy your home directory contents to a thumbdrive or another partition to save your data.
