toshiba tecra m2 screen resolution
Just finished a fresh installation of hoary 5.04 on my friend's tecra m2... slowly working out a few problems, one i'm having trouble with in particular is the screen resolution.
in 1024*768 at 60hz all the pixels are garbled. for some reason i can work around this by dropping down to 800*600 at 56hz saving the changes and then moving up to 1024*768. the problem is that every time i restart the computer i have to go through the whole thing over again. i know about saving the current setup via the logout window and it doesn't help. also, the login screen is having the same problem. any ideas how i can fix this? thanks Josh |
Josh,
Try setting vga=791 in the kernel entry for ubuntu in /boot/grub/menu.lst. This was the only problem I had with installing ubuntu on my M2. It would appear that FC4 has the same issue. g |
