toshiba m40 and Zonet ZFM5600 PCM card Modem

Hello my name is ian and this is my first post.
I have a Toshiba laptop (M40 SatPro). operating system Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04. The same laptop used to have a Debian OS and I could connect to my ISP using kppp and a Linux friendly Zonet ZFM5600 fax/modem 56 Kbps PC Card in the PCMCIA slot.
Now I'm starting over with Feisty Fawn and I don't know how to get the OS to find and use that PC card modem.
Thanks ian44 ......
