Hi and welcome to LQ.

Since you are using Ubuntu, you need to prefix each command with sudo e.g.
Code:
$sudo apt-get install foo

The solution worked for the first error. The second error appears to be as a result of a partially installed package. Try
Code:
$sudo apt-get -f remove xcwcp
$sudo apt-get install xcwcp

There seems to be a problem with the xcwcp package. For some reason the post installation script is not running properly. Do you need this package? If not, then just remove it.
