Stuck.. Black screen..
Hello, I have downloaded the AMD64 DVD of 5.10, installed on my zv6131us, and I am now stuck at a black screen...
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=52201
I read that, but seems how I am new, I do not know how to go about editing that file so that I can login. I try to run the live CD, but when I go to boot it, I hit enter, and it just goes right into installing it. Anyone have any ideas?

Got to the file using Knoppix
Don't know where to add the noaccel option at.
Here's what I see:
Code:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following commands:
#
# cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.custom
# sudo sh -c 'md5sum /etc/X11/xorg.conf >/var/lib/xfree86/xorg.conf.md5sum'
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Try adding Option "noaccel" to the Section Device part.
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "i810"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "Intel 810"
Option "noaccel"
EndSection
