starting usb device with system
Hi all I've got a problem which is driving me mad. I'm trying to make a USB device start at system start up. At present I need to either plug in after boot or plug out then in for it to work. It's detected at boot, proc/bus.../devices shows it, it's kernel module is also loaded lsmod shows it. However it's not active. I've tried setting up a node (?) in udev but this only appears when I unplug and plug device back in, so basically no effect.
PS the device is a touchscreen, the kernel module it loads is usbtouchscreen, xorg does not work with it unless I again unplug replug. Can anyone advise how I can make it go from /proc/bus...devices to starting up without the on off. Please! Thanks |
