any-advice
i-have-tried-setting-to-a-diff-keyboard-layout-with-no-luck
when-i-set-the-spacebar-as-a-hotkey-it-works-to-do-that
such-a-pain

Switch to console. Run showkey (yes, you need no spaces!). Press spacebar. Post output (at least what number showed up - if any).
