Shell Prompt In Ubuntu 11.04

Hi there,

I'm just getting back into Linux after years in the US Military. I have installed Ubuntu and I can't seem to find out how to get to the shell prompt in 11.04. I know this is a very easy question to answer so thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the "run application" feature, try Alt+F2.

If you are talking about getting to your terminal Applications>Accessories>Terminal.

If you are talking about tty Ctrl+Alt+2 is the most common used.

Should be Ctrl+Alt+F2.
