Sharing a printer, shar checked, but says not shared

I installed an HP laserJet and checked allow sharing on the install, but when I look at the printer in cups admin in says

HP_LaserJet_1012 (Idle, Accepting Jobs, Not Shared)

I went to modify, but the allowed sharing option is checked.

why is it not shared?

Are you wanting to share this printer via IPP or Samba? Is this for Windows and/or Linux clients?

Review the following wiki reference...
