set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL on ubuntu edgy
 
Hello all,
i have pc that have intel 965 chipset and i can't install ubuntu 6.06.
i download v6.10 and install successfully, but when i set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL = 2.4.7-10 then i can't do anything on my machine.
SO how can i set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL = 2.4.x on this pc that install ubuntu 6.10 to run some EDA software? or how can i install ubuntu 6.06 on intel 965 chipset??? (because i can set LD_ASSUME_KERNEL = 2.4.x on ubuntu 6.06 that no problem)
