sdhc card not recognised in ubuntu netbook remix on acer aspire one

Hi,
I am using eeebuntu which is obviously configured for the eeepc, but works just as well on the acer aspire one (everything appears to work out of the box).

The only problem I have is that on the acer, I have 2 SD slots, one is meant for a permanent card the other for transferring stuff.

The problem I have is that the permanent slot works when I plug the card in, but the other slot doesn't even recognise when the card is inserted.

How do I go about finding out how the card slots are configured and if they are actually working?

Cheers

ice.

It seems Ubuntu has a problem with sdhc cards on the Aspire One. Here is the Ubuntu documentation:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AspireOne
Quote:

# Card Readers, Bios 3109 [ Work out of the box, but write errors after suspend and on SDHC cards]
# Card Readers, Bios 3305 [ Pre 2.6.27.7: Only right card reader works after setpci described above; no SDHC support]
# Card Readers, Bios 3305 [ 2.6.27.7: Both card readers work again after setpci described above; no SDHC support, but at least the insertion of cards is automatically detected.]
Farther down on that page are instructions for installing Ubuntu netbook remix and Ubuntu Hardy. There is a workaround for the card readers under the Hardy section.
