SCSI driver error caused by wodim - Ubuntu 8
# wodim –scanbus
Wodim: No such file or directory Cannot open SCSI driver! OS: Ubuntu 8.04 ODD: ATAPI DVD+-RW I also tried “wodim dev=ATA –scanbus” but still got the same message. I could only see such message on Ubuntu 8.04, and not on RHEL 5.1 (hardware configuration is the same). Ubuntu 8.04 # cat /proc/scsi/scsi Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00 Vendor: TSSTCorp Model: DVD+-RW TS-L632H Rev:D300 Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 05 RHEL 5.1 # cat /proc/ide/hdc/model …CDROM Drive… It seems that Ubuntu treats the ATAPI drive as a SCSI drive, while RHEL still treats it as a ATAPI drive. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks a lot in advance! |
