Sarge to Dapper??

How would one do an upgrade to dapper?

I am currently running Sarge and would like to upgrade instead of wiping everything.

Ideas? Links...

I would guess that you could try changing the sources to the dapper sources. Having said that I would not recommend trying to change debian sources to ubuntu in an attempt to upgrade to a new ubuntu version.

It does not work... CRASH...
Well, now we know.

I updated the sources.list... apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade

Got to almost the last and was not able to install python..

You would be better off upgrading to Etch or even Sid. Even though Ubuntu is/was based on Debian their repos are not Debian repos.
