Safely resizing Partitions in Ubuntu
First of all i should say i am new to Linux, but i'm a fast learner and have a good understanding on the way this stuff works.
I have 3 partitions right now, one with Windows XP, and 2 EX3 for the Swap and root. Last time i tried to resize the partitions (take space from the windows partition and move it to the Ubuntu root partition) something went wrong and Grub messed up giving me a Error 18 everytime i tried to boot either OS. I had to format and re-install everything again.
My problem now is that i'm running out of space and i need to resize the partition again so i'm looking for a safe way to do this. I already got gparted but that doesn't let me change anything. I'm aware the ubuntu Live CD has a gparted but i wanna know if its safe to resize it through there. I don't wanna messe up Grub again and loose everything i have.
Thanks in a advanced.
