Running Folding@Home
OK, so I decided to try using Linux again.
I only had trouble with everything I tried : Mandriva(unstable), SuSE(unstable) and Fedora(If yum screws up, OS has to be reinstalled, video driver problems, no sleep & hibernation...)
So I downloaded Kubuntu for AMD64. So far, no problem(Just that the Add/Remove list is almost empty w/o external repositories). The thing is, I can't get Folding@Home to run. When I run a terminal, I go in the folder where FAH is, I type ./F and press Esc twice to auto-complete the name, and I get a "no such file or folder error" ! I don't know what I should do, especially since I have to run FAH as a service on both cores or my computer just reboots after a while (Long to explain, but a lot of people with my mobo and PSU have sudden reboot problems, I have to keep the CPU load to 100% to keep the computer form restarting.)

Do you mean this program? Did you install it correctly? Try to go to the application folder, check if permissions are correct and the files present. Have you tried to disable the services wich manage the CPU (the one for Labtops, there are two of them)? Not doing so on my Mobo causes random freezes. I suppose you have already checked for BIOS updates, if not, do so.

Well, I tried using Stanford's Folding@Home as I ever did, make an fah1 and fah2 folder in my home folder, put FAH504 Console in both, I go in two different text mode sessions and start them separately.

I didn't, but it happens with any OSes, it's related to CPU use. I just have to keep the cores running at 100% and no problems(Unlike others who just can't fix it).
Also, no matter if I use the Live CD mode or the installed version, it's telling the same thing. Knoppix and Fedora work w/o problems.

Found out I might have to install ia32 packages, going to report if it works!
(Not sure if that's the problem tho, I tried the AMD64 version and the same thing happened.
