removeing mouse cursor from commandline install

I have a digital picture frame that I have running a command-line Hardy Heron install, with no window manager, but X.

The problem is that my pictures display fine but there is a big ugly X-shaped black mouse cursor in the center of the display. I don't really need a mouse at all; how can i get rid of it?

I tried deleting the whole mouse section from the xorg.conf.
