Remove OOo 1.1.*


I would like to have only open office 2.0 installed on system and no signs of previos version. If i try to uninstall in synaptic it remuves ubuntu-desktop OK i say but when I want to install ubuntu-desktop back synaptic installes OOo 1.1.* to

Is there a solution for this.

You can just remove OO by itself. I've done it.

I tried removing OO on its own and ubuntu desktop always has to be uninstalled. Same if you try and remove gnomemeeting and other packages.

that will be the case, all software in ubuntu requires the ubuntu-desktop to be installed, remove one - unbuntu-desktop gets remove also. so plan and see which programms you dont want then remove them. like myself i dont use gnomemeeting, terminal server etc so i remove, the ubuntu-desktop also removed.
